Life doesn’t always come with gentle nudges. Sometimes, it comes with pressure suffocating, overwhelming, relentless. That’s “the squeeze.” But in it, we’re not forsaken. We are being formed.
As Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 4:8, “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair…” These words aren’t a poetic escape they’re a divine reality. Even when trials seem to press in from every angle, God’s hand keeps us intact. The squeeze reveals our source Christ within.
When you’re under pressure, consider:
- Olives must be crushed to release oil, symbolic of anointing.
- Grapes are pressed to produce wine, symbolic of joy and communion.
- Diamonds form under extreme conditions, symbolic of enduring beauty and value.
Romans 5:3–4 affirms this truth: “Tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.” You are not being undone, you are being refined.
So, how should we act in the squeeze?
- Speak with faith, not frustration.
- Choose courage, even when uncertainty looms.
- Anchor yourself in God’s Word, when emotions feel louder than truth.
As you walk through this season, remember that it’s not a punishment, it’s preparation.
The squeeze isn’t breaking you; it’s blessing you!
Grace and strength,
Generational Treasure.
