Age Group: 5–10 years
Players: 3 or more
Objective: To help children see that even ordinary people can do great things through God by completing Bible-based challenges that show His power at work!
How to Play:
- Setup the Game:
- Create a pathway using stepping stones, paper footprints, or chalk on the ground. Each step represents a challenge.
- Prepare Bible Verse Challenge Cards that highlight how God used ordinary people to do extraordinary things (e.g., Moses, David, Gideon, Peter).
- Place a “Faith Trophy” at the end of the path (this could be a decorated box with rewards inside).
- Game Progression:
- Each player rolls a die or spins a number wheel to see how many steps they move forward.
- When they land on a step, they must complete a Bible challenge before advancing!
- Types of Challenges:
- Story Match: The player picks a Bible hero card and matches them with what God helped them do (Example: David—defeated Goliath with a sling and faith! – 1 Samuel 17:45-47).
- Act It Out: The player acts out a challenge faced by an ordinary person in the Bible (e.g., pretend to carry heavy stones like Nehemiah rebuilding the wall).
- Question Time: Answer a simple Bible question about trusting God (*Example: “Who trusted God and walked on water?” – Answer: Peter! – Matthew 14:29).
- Faith Leap: The player jumps forward while shouting a Bible truth like “With God, all things are possible!” (Matthew 19:26).
- Winning the Game:
- The first player to reach the Faith Trophy wins a small reward!
- However, the real victory is learning that even ordinary people can accomplish great things through God!
