As you may know, small seeds grow into mighty trees when properly nurtured. A single mustard seed may seem insignificant, yet when planted and watered, it becomes one of the largest garden plants (Matthew 13:31-32). Throughout the Bible, we see ordinary people, flawed, hesitant, sometimes fearful, become vessels of God’s extraordinary power.
Take Moses, for example. He doubted his ability to lead Israel and protested, saying, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh?” (Exodus 3:11). Yet God assured him, “I will be with you” (Exodus 3:12). With God’s presence, Moses led millions to freedom.
Similarly, Gideon considered himself weak, the least in his family (Judges 6:15). But God called him a “mighty warrior” (Judges 6:12) not because of Gideon’s strength, but because of God’s power at work in him.
The disciples were ordinary fishermen before Jesus called them. Yet, through God’s wisdom and the Holy Spirit’s power, they became key figures in spreading the Gospel worldwide (Acts 4:13).
According to 2 Corinthians 12:9, God’s grace is sufficient, and His power is made perfect in weakness. Like seeds needing water and sunlight, we need to trust God, allow Him to work in us, and step forward in faith, even when we feel small.
To summarize, God uses ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things. If you ever feel insignificant, remember that with God, you are mighty. Trust Him, obey Him, and watch how He moves through you!
Thank you!
